Taking an active role; your responsibility
If you are reading this, then you already know that it is imperative for every American to take an active part in the operations of government. Our government works for us, and “We the people” are responsible for the decisions that will eventually affect our daily lives.
Some of you may be in a position to want to do more, but don’t really know how. Maybe you are wondering where to get started. Perhaps you have recently learned more, and it has occurred to you that it’s becoming increasingly important to participate.
We all have personal responsibilities, there’s no question about that. However, let us never forsake our responsibility to take an active role in how our town, city, state and country operate. We all have different talents and abilities and can offer different levels of participation.
A great way to start is simply by paying attention. Legislation is how it happens, and that process is open to the public and can and should be monitored by every one of us. You can do this easily at
I urge you to visit this site and get used to using it. Find out what legistlation is on the floor in your locality and nationally and keep watch! When something is on the table that conflicts with our Constitution and the principles of Liberty - make it known! Spread the word, and most importantly, let the legislators know that you are watching! Write to your reps and encourage others to do the same.
The most dangerous thing we can do for ourselves and the future of our children is remain silent.
It’s easy to get started and takes but mere minutes per day. Those few minutes however will prove to be crucial to your future and your liberty.
