Tyranny is Bi-partisan!!

Liberty, Freedom; whatever word you choose, one thing is certain, it is not free, it is not easy and at the current moment, it is slipping away at an unprecedented rate. This did not happen overnight. I can guarantee you it did not start January 20th of 2009 with the swearing in of Pres. Obama, and it did not start with George W. Bush either and any number of policies you can scream your head off about that his presidency brought us. No, we surrendered our liberty a long time ago and it is NOW or never that we must first, WAKE UP! THINK! and ACT!! to do everything we can as individuals and as a community to restore it. I list these three things because they are ALL crucial in this endeavor, indeed in this battle. We fell asleep at the wheel and now we need to not just wake up, but grab hold, lead and stay awake for good!. We need a transformation of action and ideas. We need to work towards a NEW Revolution for Liberty.

It is not enough to wake up and rant and complain about the myriad of things that are unjust. It is not enough to shake our head in disgust or frustration at what we are witnessing. It is not enough to just be aware and passionate. No! we need more!! Awareness is only the first step. Before we can build a real arsenal ( and I choose this word for a reason ) run out the door to arm ourselves and support Politicians, radio and TV personalities looking to save their careers, exploit our passions and steal our vote, we need to **THINK**. Yes, think!! What does that involve? it involves more than you can imagine. We need to claim responsibility for the mess we have made. Yes, the mess WE have made. Like I said, this involves more than you can imagine. It requires you, I, all of us to take ourselves out of the comfort zone of following the same path of ideas that convinces us, we already *know* everything. It asks that we discard our bias which simply leads us to regurgitate what we are fed without actually challenging it.  Our old ways are not working. We must arm ourselves with REAL power, KNOWLEDGE and NUMBERS!! We must marry our passions with reason. Liberty is Liberty. We can no longer blind ourselves with our bias. We cannot pick and choose. We don’t get to look at our Bill of Rights and cross out what we don’t like. Liberty is Liberty!.  What good is our 2nd Amendment when we don’t have Habeas Corpus?. We cannot demand that our government stay out of our private life, and yet ask them to define marriage for us!! Think. Think!! We need to break from the chains that brought us here. What are those chains? Who and what brought us here? OURSELVES! our limited one-dimensional thinking, our habits!. How so? “The definition of insanity is to repeat the same thing over and over again, and expect different results” WE have armed the hands of the very institution we now accuse of overstepping their bounds. That is how. Which brings me to my next point.

We need to take action, yes, but how? What do we do to avoid being back here in another 4, 8, 20 years? or actually… to an even worse, almost unimaginable state?. This is where our new thinking is integral. We need to change the way we go about getting things done. Government is growing.  It is evolving right under our noses at the same rate we are losing our liberty; yet US, WE, YOU and I haven’t evolved!! This is a new kind a war. Please understand that! Politicians, the State, Government relies on only one thing, our division. Our unwillingness to communicate and unite. Trust me, when it comes to us, the government is VERY united. There are no Liberals, no Democrats, no conservatives, no Republicans, there is only US and THEM. Tyranny is Bi-Partisan. It is that simple. That is the only arithmetic that counts in politics. Tyranny IS Bi-partisan!. One party in power writes the law that strips one freedom from us. The next party that comes into power writes the next chapter of liberties soon to be taken away. Face that! Realize that! Believe nothing! Get out of your comfort zone! Just because you voted for them, it doesn’t mean they are infallible. We simply cannot afford this shee-eople mentality anymore!

We need to realize the ship is sinking, the window is closing, and we are ALL in this mess together.  What are you gonna fight for when there is nothing left? Repeat that over and over again, Tyranny is Bi-Partisan!! The Founding Fathers understood this.    They feared Tyranny.  They  understood that tyranny is only one crisis away.    It is time we relearn this.  The nature of government and specifically the Executive branch, but all branches of government, poses a threat to our Liberty if left unrestrained.  This threat doesn’t rise only when that office is occupied by the “opposite” party. We need to evolve from that partisan, foolish and irresponsible mentality, that is just tying the noose around our liberty tighter and tighter everyday. It is not enough to join a party and be active, we must CHALLENGE the Parties WE support.

WE are OUR government. WE are. That is OUR place. That is where we belong!! It is the job of us, The people. If OUR government is failing us, that is because WE have failed!! We need to change the strategy. We can’t just fight hard, we need to fight smart! I ask, what have you done for your freedom today? Did you go to your town-hall meeting? Did you confirm what you heard or read on the “news” or “radio”? have you signed up to be a delegate in your county? in your state? what bills are being debated in YOUR state right now? do you know? Liberty is for all of us. However it is not without diligence and work. It also doesn’t belong to one party and it is certainly not granted by the State. It is ours. It belongs to us! Claim it for good! Liberty IS Non-Partisan!! What have you done today for it? We need a revolution, yes. A Revolution from within! A NEW Revolution for Liberty. Awareness without knowledge, without action… and YOU are simply assigning yourself a slave.
