Welcome to Purple Oak Politics

Purple Oak Politics was originated from the knowledge that Liberty is an inherent right we all share regardless of political ideologies.  It is not up for debate, re-interpretation or negotiation.  Liberty belongs to all of us.  We are all Americans, and although we all have a unique perspective on varying political ideologies, we can all appreciate the importance of preserving the principles of Liberty upon which our great nation was founded.  It is here where Red meets Blue and we as a people - free from partisan divisions, become an unstoppable force of activism and hope with roots firmly grounded and branches reaching far and wide.

Purple Oak Politics prides itself in not just being non-partisan, but Trans-partisan.  We work to transcend our seeming divisions to unite in protection of our liberties and constitution.  Our hope is that by providing information, provoking thought and encouraging intelligent discussion, we can pull together our unique perspectives and individual talents and all work toward the common goal of Freedom.

Our health-care crisis, the expansion of government powers, our sinking economy, these are issues that connect us more than they divides us.   It is becoming abundantly clear to most of us now, that something is dreadfully wrong in our nation and our world today.  Our government is growing in power that extends beyond the boundaries made clear by our Constitution.  Corruption in our political system is rampant.  The inalienable rights we are born with, and which are stated by our Bill of Rights are being violated and ignored.   And election cycle after election cycle Americans vote according to their parties promises and nothing changes, in fact, things keep getting worse.  The disconnection between Washington and the American people is only growing wider.  The time has come for Americans to begin paying more attention and taking an active part in changing the dangerous path which this country is currently on.

Whoever you are, whether you lean left or right, somewhere in the middle or if you are new to politics, Purple Oak is for you.   It is not for just Republicans or Democrats, rather it is a place to find resources, share information, discuss opinions and encourage political activism for both parties and everyone in between.  You can find updates and information on issues relevant to everyone and commentary from a non-partisan perspective.
